DBT for Binge eating

DBT is an evidenced based therapy that combines mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills to help you develop new skills for a new relationship with yourself and food.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your relationship with food and dieting? Do you feel like you have tried everything and still feel stuck and confused? Or maybe you have become so used to the cycles that you don’t even know where to start or have given up hope that things could be different.

This group is for YOU. It’s time, you are ready.

Tuesday at 12pm

$100/ group for 12 weeks

  • Effectiveness Training: skills for relationships with yourself, food, and navigating your recovery in the context of different environments and day to day living.

  • Mindfulness: Training yourself to tolerate discomfort without reaching for food. Being in the present moment without judgment and cultivating practical techniques to utilize mindfulness.

  • Emotion Regulation: Reducing vulnerabilities to being dysregulated and what to do to cope with intense emotions. Acceptance, Change, and Willingness: The reason we need all three if we want to be free.

  • Validation and Dialectics: How to stay open and willing.

  • Distress Tolerance: When you can’t make it better, not making it worse and what to do in the hardest moments.

  • Self-Compassion: Understanding that our coping is rooted in a desire to feel safe and viewing our different patterns and behaviors with compassion.
