Imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we’re all in this together.

I am so glad you are here.

You are not alone, whatever brought you to this point you have come by it honestly. More skills, less suffering- let’s get you into the life you desire.

Life can be a lot.

I use a relational collaborative approach for treatment with the use of skill, humor, and the balance of acceptance and change. I am a systemically trained social worker, and believe we are the sum of all our lived experiences as well as our intergenerational ones and impacted by the systems in our enviornements. While I am an expert in specific treatment approaches, you are the expert on your life. I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and the treatment of eating disorders and addictions. I am passionate about recovery based treatment and the power of vulnerability. I believe in change and action based approaches to facilitate exposure and hope around the life you deserve and want to be living.  We aim to understand ourselves and our histrory, rather than judge it.  We learn skills to achieve exposure to showing up differently, more effectively, and skillfully in our lives. Being alive is complex and messy, let's grow, change, and accept ourselves while we work it out.

We’ve got this! I have experience in treating addiction and 12 step recovery both with individuals, couples, and families. I encourage family members to reach out even if their loved one is still active and needs support.

I am a proud alumni of Hunter College, completed my postgraduate training in family and couples’ therapy at the Ackerman Institute, and have intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech. I completed levels 1-3 with Dawson Church, PhD, and founder of EFT Universe in Emotional Freedom Technique, (EFT/Tapping Technique).  I have specialized training in Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia, Substance Use Disorders, and Trauma; with an emphasis on family of origin and family systems work. I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and a published contibutor to Psychology Today and Thrive Global. I am in the process of finishing a year long postgraduate Sex Therapy certificate program at Ackerman satisfying the AASECT credits towards certification.

I use evidenced based treatment approaches, and combine different techniques to meet the unique challenges of each individual client, couple, or family.  I am passionate about research and staying current with the most effective treatment appraoches.

Change is really hard. We aren't going to do it perfectly, but together we can find solutions that work for you and your loved ones in a gentle, nonjudgmental, and imperfect way. We can do this, I am so glad you are here.

Do the best you can until you know better.
Then when you know better, do better.
