Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as the Tapping Technique, is a powerful holistic healing technique used to treat and resolve trauma, addictions, and many emotional disorders, as well as treat physical pain. This evidence based practice has been shown to rapidly reduce the emotional distress associated with traumatic memories.

EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, addiction, posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.

We use this technique to treat a variety of issues by essentially turning off the amygdala, the part of the brain that is activated during fight, flight, freeze trauma response to make traumatic memories more accessible for reprocessing.

Session are 30, 45, or 60 minutes once or twice weekly.  EFT work is available in person or via video sessions.
